John Buck

John has a passion for agriculture and he compliments that with being a great leader. Through his company, Turnkey Leadership Group, John provides professional guidance to individuals and companies, helping them understand their challenges and then putting them in touch with the right contacts for success. After running Buck Farms for nearly 35 years, when John advises a farmer about what to do, he’s most likely already been there himself. John holds degrees in Agricultural Education and Animal Science from Ohio State University and in addition to running his family farm has worked for various companies in the agriculture industry.


John is the founder of TurnKey Leadership Group, TurnKey Green Solutions and the GrassRoots Speakers Bureau.  He is a member of the National Speakers Association, National Agri-Marketing Association, and Toastmasters International; has been a director on many association boards such as Farm Bureau, Soybean Council, and The Ohio State University. John is a graduate of National Speakers Association, Ohio ProTrack IV.


John has participated in many leadership programs including Ohio Leadership, Education and Development (LEAD), Leadership Ohio, American Farm Bureau PAL, Ohio Farm Bureau AgriPower, Syngenta's Leadership At Its Best, Zig Ziglar’s Personal Coaching Training Program, and Soybean Leadership College.


In addition, John is the recipient of many awards: 2013 Leadership Ohio Most Educational Speaker, 2010 Ohio Conservation Family Farm Award, 2009 Conservationist of the Year, 2009 American Soybean Association National Conservation Legacy Award, 2009 Ohio Corn/Soybean Environmental Stewardship Award, 2007 American Farm Bureau Excellence in Agriculture Award National Runner-up, and 2006 Ohio Farm Bureau Excellence in Agriculture Award.


John currently resides on his family farm in New Bloomington, Ohio with his wife, Emily, and daughter, Harlie Grace. John can be found farming back home and managing an assortment of hobbies and activities.
